We are now rolling into our 4th month of the Eagle River Alehouse Acoustic Showcase and the 3rd month of Open Mic Wednesdays!! Thank you so much for all of the local support! We have even attracted some of the Hollywood producers during their production trips to Alaska! Great job!!! I do record the live shows off of the board and the recordings are available to the artists, but you'll need to hit me up during or after the show so I can bounce down the tracks for you. Saturdays are an Acoustic Showcase from 7pm till 11pm, featuring various rotating artists from around the state and lower 48. This year we have artists from Austin, Florida, Hawaii, Minnesota and California coming out to join some of Alaska's finest musicians on stage. A big shout out needs to go to the Eagle River Alehouse for giving us artists a perfect venue to perform our art at! Come in and try the food and drink! Wednesdays are Open mic starting at 6pm. It fills up fast both nights so if your coming out to join us, you might consider getting there a little early to get a good seat. We play downstairs and there is an upstairs as well for those in need of time away from the music. Thank you so much for your continued support! Marc Brown & the Blues Crew return to Koots in the Ice Bar. All the way from Fairbanks so don't miss you one chance to catch them in Anchorage. Alaska's greatest rock/blues band released their 10th cd Indian Rock'n'Roll (the popular song written by Louis Demoski) January 8, 2011 to a packed house at the Blue Loon in Fairbanks, AK. Since it's release they have sold over 1,000 copies. Over the years, they have opened for ZZ Top, Jethro Tull, J Geils Band, Fabulous Thunderbirds, Eddie Shaw and John Hammond. Led by Marc's soulful singing, incredible guitar playing and world class songwriting, along with Jason Slats tasteful sax playing , Marc Brown & The Blues Crew were nominated as Debut Artist at the Nammys November 2010. This band consists of Marc Brown on guitar and vocals, Jason Slats on saxaphone, David Peck on drums and Noel Camp on the bass. They have been doing 150 + shows a year for the past 16 years and are still packing clubs where ever they go.

Come on down to Chilkoot Charlie's Tuesday - Saturday to listen to Splendid Chaos! SPLENDID CHAOS is an aggressive and high energy modern rock band based out of the Southeastern United States. The band formed mid-year 2000 and have been leaving their mark on various venues and stages across the country ever since. In early 2010, Splendid Chaos released the much anticipated CD titled "Burn It Down". The CD was produced by Matt LaPlant who has also produced record selling CDs for other popular rock bands such as Nonpoint and Skindred. The entire CD is very well written and produced with 4 or 5 potential singles including the title track "Burn It Down", the crossover song "Memory", the blood pumping song "Energy", and the rock anthem "Come And Get It". The band is currently shopping the album to a number of record companies and will hopefully land a new home soon.
